Cell phones are a very important device in younger generations. I am amazed at how many young children under the age of 14 have cell phones now. I remember getting my first cell phone in the 11th grade in high school. That was one of the most exciting moments of my life. That’s when I knew I was a cool kid. Everyone had one; you were popular if you had a cool phone.
My life almost ended when my cell phone was turned off. I didn’t know what to do with myself. I was used to the constant texting, screening phone calls before 9 p.m., taking and sending pictures, and downloading ringtones. I honestly felt like I was back in the cave man days. I had no one to talk to, or text funny jokes about the professors. That was a rough week for me.
I am very grateful now that my phone is turned back onJ It took some charming and coning my parents to pay my bill for me. At the end of the day everything worked out in my favor. I am truly blessed to have wonderful parents to help me out when times are rough and my friends who were concerned about reaching me.
Now instead of relying on my cell phone for almost everything I do, I use e-mails, facebook, and instant messaging. I’ve also invested in a magicJack. I have my own land line now to make and receive phone calls. No calling card or minutes needed for this transaction. In case of another disconnection in my service, I’ll be well prepared with my magicJack handy to talk to my silly bestfriend (BF) on her sidekick.
