Open House

Wow so today was the Blue Carpet Open House for future Northwood students. As a student ambassador on campus I got the great opportunity to work the open house. So getting up at 7:30 I reported to the Griswold building and got ready to go out and work the parking lot. I was there so that everyone knew where to park and to help make sure things ran smoothly. Unfortuantly for me it was slightly chilly outside.
After coming inside out of the cold from the parking lot I went into the reception area and had the chance to talk to the prospective students to help answer any questions and to get to know the students, where they're from and what they are interested in. (That and drink all the hot coco to get warm.)
From the reception area the students than went to the lecture hall where they learned more about the school and got an opportunity to ask questions of the student panel. Than came the time to choose which major the students were interested in. Following one of the student ambassadors students got to choose a major they were interested in and get a chance to talk with the teacher for that major. After half an hour the students chose a second major and the process is repeated. When the second half hour is over the students than got to go to lunch and a tour.
The entire day was great for me because I love getting to know other people. There is such a variety of students who show up for the open house. Each student is different in a good way. My day was a really good day!!
