So you’re probably anxious to know how you did on the trivia game. Well I am too! I’m curious on how well you did. I bet you did great!! It’s interesting to see how much you can remember or know about American Government. I hope you didn’t cheat or Google any of the answers.
In 1781 America won its independence from Great Britain during the Revolution War. And in 1787 our constitution was written. On September 17, 39 men signed the Constitution on cool autumn day.
The next person in line if the Vice President can not fulfill their duty is the Speaker of House of Representative. In the House, there are 435 members and their term in office is for 2 years. In the Senate there are 100 members in office, and their term in office is for 6 years.
In order to be President of the US, you have to fulfill 3 requirements: 1) At least 35 years old, 2) Lived in the U.S for 14 years, 3) and a Natural born citizen. When the President takes oath in office he/she has two choices. The President has to swear or affirm. In the history of Presidents, 43 men swore and 1 affirmed. Do you know which President affirmed? That’s a bonus question for you. The President of the U.S has to do 3 things. 1) Protect, 2) Defend, 3) and Preserve the Constitution.
We all have unalienable rights. Those rights are life, liberty, and happiness.
A study was conducted on how many people could name all 9 of the Supreme Justices verse the 3 Stooges. Not many people could name them. As of 2006, the 9 Supreme Justices were John G. Roberts, John Paul Stevens, Antonin Scalia, Anthony M. Kennedy, David H. Souter, Clarence Thomas, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen G. Breyer, and Samuel A. Alito Jr.
James Madison, the Father of the Constitution kept notes on all the debates covering all the detail of the Philadelphia Convention. He also helped draft the Virginia Plan and set agenda that helped write the Constitution.
Last but not least, there were 43 men who held 44 presidential jobs.
